Give Back Cincinnati

Ryan Alleman

POSITION: President

Background:

I was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania but I spent most of my early life growing up in a Northern Kentucky suburb of Cincinnati. After high school, I made the jump across the river to Xavier University (#LetsGoX) where I earned a degree in Finance. Right out of college, I took a job with Macy’s, Inc. where I currently work in corporate finance / investor relations. I live in Hyde Park and, having been in Cincinnati for nearly 8 years, I now call it home!

What GBC means to me:

My first Give Back event was Paint the Town 2011. It was a phenomenal experience and I knew right away that I wanted to be more involved in this organization and in Cincinnati. The following year I came out to just about every event and I haven’t looked back since! I’m always inspired to see just how many young professionals care about our city and want to see it thrive. And I’m a huge believer in our mission of “developing today’s community and tomorrow’s leaders.”

Why should others get involved with GBC?

Simply put, Give Back is all about doing fun and fulfilling volunteer work with some awfully cool people. It’s also a great way to connect to all of the awesome things currently happening in our city!

What makes GBC unique?

To my knowledge, Give Back Cincinnati is the largest young professional all-volunteer non-profit in the city. It’s extraordinary to see what a motivated group of YP volunteers can accomplish in such a short period of time. Our work inspires me for the future our region, our generation and our country! That’s what makes GBC unique for me. What makes GBC unique for you?

What I’m excited about in 2017:

Too many things to count! First I’m very excited to be continuing this leadership role in 2017 having served for the last year as President and the previous two years as Development Director. I’m also excited to strengthen our already great events and programs as we seek to grow our impact through increased engagement. And I’m really excited to continue work on our 5-year strategic plan.

Fun Fact:

At any given time, my alarm clock is set to one of a series of “wake up / morning-themed” hip-hop songs.
