POSITION: Vice President of Programs
After college, I took a position with City Year Miami where I led a leadership development and community service program for underserved middle school students. Following that, I moved to Hands On Miami, where I led the development of large-scale community service programs. In my time with Hands On Miami, the programs I developed engaged 29,000 volunteers in 120,000 hours of service each year. Following Hands On Miami, I moved to Columbus to attend law school. After law school, I was on the boards of City Year Columbus and the Godman Guild and helped to support their service programming on a higher-level.
Why I got involved:
I got involved because I am passionate about community service and civic engagement. Moreover, I’m new to Cincinnati and thought it would be a great way to meet new people (which it is)!
Why others should get involved:
Give Back is one of, if not the best, way to meet new people and to contribute to the increasing vibrancy of Cincinnati.
What makes GBC unique:
GBC is a unique combination of fun and impact!
First GBC event:
Elevate Walnut Hills! We moved a mountain of dirt from one place to another.
Favorite GBC event:
Hands-On—Elevate Walnut Hills. It was my first Give Back event!
What excites me about 2018:
I’m excited to see how the organization grows and evolves to meet the needs and interests of partnering organizations and volunteers.
My family’s birthdays all fall on the same day of the week (Monday, Tuesday, etc.) each year.
