POSITION: Social Events Coordinator
I spent my childhood in the suburbs of Atlanta, GA and now live in Bellevue, KY. I received a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Northern Kentucky University in 2013. Currently I serve as the Administration Specialist at the Kentucky Center for Mathematics, while I pursue a Master’s in Public Administration. When I’m not working or in class, you’ll most likely find me at GBC event.
Why should others get involved:
Getting involved with GBC has been the best decision of my life. I encourage anyone who is looking for something more to do with their free time to get involved.
Favorite GBC event:
Rock the Boat is hands-down my absolute favorite event! You get paired with a partner, hop in canoe, clean up the Ohio River, and grab a few beers afterwards. What fun!
First GBC Event:
Back in 2012, I had just finished reading an amazing article in Cincy Magazine about a group of young professional volunteers who worked on weekend community projects and would follows those projects up with a little partying and socializing afterwards. Fast forward to 2015, I still couldn’t get a friend to commit to spending a Saturday morning volunteering. Finally, I decided that I would go to an event solo and that event was Young at Heart. I met wonderful people that I saw at the next event, and the event after that, and so on. These people are now some of my greatest friends.
This is a bit embarrassing but I used to be crazily obsessed with DDR (Dance Dance Revolution). Like, it was a bit unhealthy.
